Professional Quantity Surveyor Full Time

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Professional Quantity Surveyor to join their young, dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cost planning, tendering, and contract administration across diverse construction projects in the commercial, mining or industrial sectors. Requirements:
• BSc(Hons) in Quantity Surveying or similar
• Professional registration with the SACQSP.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial, mining, and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in WinQS/DimX

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Review and calculate project quantities from engineering drawings.
• Effective management of project budget to the satisfaction of the client.
• Continuous cost monitoring and reporting.
• Contract modification adjudication and agreement.
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
• Compilation of monthly progress payment certificates
• Set budgets for payments, inventory needs, and materials.
• Compilation of monthly financial reports and presentation to the client.
• Reporting on the cost of potential variations and advising on corrective actions.
• Negotiate with contractors and subcontractors.
• Act as a liaison between clients and site managers/engineers.
• Identify potential financial or construction risks.
• Monitoring and approval of payment certificates for contractors and subcontractors
• Advise on property taxes, regulations, and local laws.
• Final Account forecasting and agreement
• Working closely with the project site team, to ensure alignment of project progress reporting.
• Contract management.
