Contracts Manager – Mining Full Time

Our client is a well-established construction company seeking an experienced, commercially astute and results-driven Contracts Manager to join their team in Johannesburg. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a construction professional with extensive mining infrastructure civil works experience who can take overall responsibility for the successful delivery and profitability of multiple projects.

Requirements:
• Minimum 15+ years’ experience within the civil engineering and construction industry, with extensive hands-on experience in mining infrastructure civil works
• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager capacity, preferably overseeing multiple sites and projects
• Proven experience within mine-related civil construction and infrastructure projects
• Pr.CPM (SACPCMP) or Pr.Eng (ECSA) registration is highly advantageous

Responsibilities:
• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery, profitability and performance of assigned construction projects.
• Lead project planning and programme management, ensuring project timelines, milestones and deliverables are achieved.
• Monitor project financial performance, budgets, cash flow and margins while identifying and mitigating commercial risks before they impact profitability.
