Structural Engineer Full Time

Our client is a well-established engineering consultancy seeking a technically strong and motivated Structural Engineer to join their team in Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for a consulting engineer with strong structural design experience to work across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial and industrial developments, while taking responsibility for structural design, analysis and project delivery.

Requirements:
• Minimum 5+ years’ relevant structural design experience within a consulting engineering environment
• Proven experience designing reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry and timber structures
• Proficiency in PROKON SUMO and relevant PROKON design modules

Responsibilities:
• Design and analyse reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry and timber structures, ensuring technically sound and practical engineering solutions.
• Prepare structural calculations, specifications, technical reports and other engineering documentation.
• Develop structural concepts and provide practical construction solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review structural and architectural drawings and coordinate design requirements with architects, engineers and other professional consultants.
