Solar Project Developer Full Time

Are you passionate about identifying new opportunities and turning them into impactful solar energy projects?

Our client is looking for a dynamic Solar Project Developer to lead site scouting, manage key stakeholder relationships, and support bid preparation and project development

Requirements:
• Degree or Masters in Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience fulfilling the responsibilities of a renewable energy developer (project management and contract management – essential)
• Strong understanding of finance and budgeting
• Business negotiation skills
• Knowledge about South Africa’s renewable energy sector and framework
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills
• Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities

Responsibilities:
• Tender preparation, analysis and submission
• Planning and coordination
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on projects
• Assist with developing, implementing and improving the company’s portfolio of renewable projects
• Assist with the drafting of project development budget
