Mechanical Engineer Full Time

Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their personal care manufacturing facility in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mechanical engineering expertise, managing capital projects, improving manufacturing equipment performance, and ensuring plant assets operate safely

Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical engineering projects from planning through implementation
Improve equipment reliability through maintenance and engineering optimisation initiatives
Investigate recurring equipment failures and implement sustainable engineering solutions
Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and commissioning activities
Ensure compliance with engineering standards and statutory regulations
Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to improve plant performance
Maintain engineering documentation and technical specifications
Continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives

Minimum Requirements
Matric
BTech Mechanical Engineering
Proven experience within a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and plant operations
Project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of reliability engineering and continuous improvement methodologies will be advantageous
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Safety, quality, and engineering excellence
