Maintenance Manager Full Time

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Manager manage engineering and maintenance operations in their plastic manufacturing facility in Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all maintenance activities, ensuring manufacturing assets operate safely and efficiently and supporting continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute maintenance strategies to maximise equipment uptime and plant performance
Lead preventative, predictive, and reliability-centred maintenance programmes
Manage maintenance teams, engineering resources, contractors, and capital projects
Improve equipment reliability through root cause analysis and process optimisation
Monitor maintenance KPIs, budgets, and asset performance
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, health and safety legislation, and environmental requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
Work closely with production and senior management to achieve operational objectives

Minimum Requirements
Matric
Millwright/ Electrician/ Tool Maker Trade Test advantageous
5 – 7 Years experience in a Maintenance Manager role within the plastics or manufacturing industry
Knowledge of plastic processing equipment and maintenance best practices
Experience in asset management, CMMS, and reliability engineering
Leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Analytical and strategic problem-solving abilities
