Construction Manager – Roads Full Time

Our client is a well-established civil engineering and construction company specialising in road construction and civil infrastructure projects. They are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the successful delivery of major road construction projects and manage all aspects of project execution.

Requirements:
• B-Tech / Advanced Diploma Civil Engineering, BEng Civil Engineering or BSc Engineering
• Professional registration with SACPCMP and/or ECSA.
• 5–10 years’ relevant experience in civil construction
• Strong experience in road construction
• Proven experience working on COLTO/COTO Class 1 & Class 2 roads
• Must have completed 2–3 similar projects valued at R30 million+
• Strong knowledge of construction planning, programming and scheduling
• Candy and/or MS Project experience is essential
• Strong leadership, project management and commercial capabilities
• Must be willing to work away from home and travel to project sites

Responsibilities:
• Manage civil engineering construction projects in their entirety
• Oversee the planning, coordination and execution of road construction projects
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and resources
• Ensure projects are delivered according to programme, budget, quality and safety requirements
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective measures where required
• Manage construction programmes, planning and scheduling
• Liaise with clients, consultants and other project stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with COLTO/COTO specifications and relevant construction standards
• Manage project documentation, reporting and contractual requirements
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to site teams
• Ensure effective resource allocatio
