Site Agent Full Time

Our client is a leading South African building contractor with a proven track record of delivering high-quality commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial, and mixed-use developments. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Agent to lead the successful execution of major construction projects in the Western Cape.

Requirements:
• National Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related built environment qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ technical construction experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Site Agent or site management role
• Professional registration with SACPCMP as a Construction Manager advantageous
• Proven experience delivering large-scale building construction projects
• Strong understanding of construction programming, quality management, and cost control
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• Sound knowledge of construction health and safety legislation
• Ability to build and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work extended hours when required

Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee all site operations from project commencement through to completion
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
• Promote, manage, enforce, and monitor health, safety, and environmental compliance on site
• Take full responsibility for quality assurance and compliance throughout the project lifecycle
• Drive short- and long-term construction programmes to achieve project milestones
• Monitor and control project costs to maximise commercial performance
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure efficient project execution
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
• Prepare progress reports and ensure contractual obligations are met
• Report directly to the Contracts Manager and contribute to the successful delivery of projects
