Senior Java Developer Full Time NEW

Our client is seeking four experienced Senior Java Developers to join a high-performing development team on a 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of enterprise-grade, mission-critical applications within a collaborative, cross-functional environment. Developers with strong Java expertise are encouraged to apply, while experience with Angular and Native Android development will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
• Analyse business and system requirements to deliver scalable software solutions.
• Design, develop, test and maintain enterprise Java applications using Spring Boot.
• Build efficient, secure and maintainable code based on functional specifications.
• Develop and enhance user interfaces using Angular where required.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and distributed services.
• Design and optimise relational database structures.
• Conduct testing, debugging and performance optimisation.
• Ensure software complies with functional, security and architectural standards.
• Participate throughout the full software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating emerging technologies.

Minimum Requirements
• Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• 8+ years’ software development experience in Java.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience developing RESTful services.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, JPA2 and Hibernate.
• Experience developing applications using Java EE technologies.
• Experience with Spring Framework and Spring MVC or similar web frameworks.
• Exposure to test-driven development practices.
• Understanding of distributed architecture and microservices environments.
• Experience working with Azure hosting and DevOps environments.
• Strong understanding of API security, including JWT.
• Angular experience is highly advantageous.
• Native Android development experience is beneficial.
• Developers with strong Java experience but without Angular will also be considered.
