Senior Construction Manager – Roads Full Time

You will be responsible for the successful on-site execution of road construction, and civil services projects from construction planning and execution.

Reporting: Operations Director / Projects Director

Requirements:
• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional registration – essential
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction management of road related projects
• SANRAL experience – advantageous
• Sound knowledge of construction contracts such as Fidic, GCC, NEC and JBCC
• Sound knowledge of project standards like COLTO, COTO, and SANS

Responsibilities:
• Support the effective management of a project’s commercial, operational, and financial aspects.
• Monitor progress to ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled, with projects delivered on time and within budget.
• Coordinate the submission of required notifications and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with contractual claim procedures.
• Participate in monthly valuations of completed and approved work, and assist the Quantity Surveyor in preparing payment certificates, claims, variations, and related documentation.
