Retirement Fund Accountant Full Time NEW

We are currently seeking a Retirement Fund Accountant to join our reputable client’s team. The role is responsible for collating, calculating, processing, investigating, and checking fund information-including acting as a B signatory-to produce and sign off accounts, investment trades, and payments for administered funds within defined deadlines and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will produce accurate financial statements, tax obligations, regulatory reporting, and handle cash management and reconciliations.

Requirements:
• A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably including Accounting, Finance, or Investments.
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of investment fund administration or related experience.
• Employee benefits experience is essential.
• Excellent numeracy skills and strong attention to detail.
• Good accounting and investment product knowledge.

Experience with:
• Preparing, monitoring, and capturing cash movements, investment trades, and performing monthly cash and unit reconciliations.
• Producing financial statements for a portfolio of clients in accordance with applicable financial standards, regulatory deadlines, and submission to the FSCA.
• Managing tax obligations to SARS and foreign exposure limits to the SARB within regulatory deadlines.
• Acting as a B Signatory to check and authorise payments, pricing, and unitisation.
• Project managing client audits, attending pre- and post-audit meetings, and coaching/supervising other Fund Accountants.
