Project Manager Full Time

Our client is a well-established consulting engineering partner that delivers future-focused infrastructure solutions across Southern Africa. With a strong emphasis on technical excellence, collaboration, people development and sustainable outcomes, they are seeking a skilled Project Manager to support resilient cities, climate resilience and water infrastructure projects in the George area.

Requirements:
• BEng/BSc/BTech Civil
• Project management expertise required in resilient cities and water infrastructure projects
• 8-10 years’ post-qualification experience
• Professional registration with ECSA or working toward this
• Be able to consistently deliver high quality, accurate and timely work
• Ability to work in English and Afrikaans
• Willingness to travel within the Southern Cape
• Resident in George
• Must have valid drivers’ license and own vehicle

Responsibilities:
• Provide knowledge and experience-based competency to perform project management specific consultancy services;
• Actively explore opportunities to apply a Digital Way of Working in projects, identify internal and external needs and organise efforts to automate and standardize processes or make them more efficient, and
• Be a team player and contribute to the skill development and transfer of knowledge of the climate resilience team by mentoring junior and midlevel professionals;
• Actively share your knowledge and experience with your team;
• Create a learning environment where colleagues are trained and can be developed to independent resources.
• Prepare or lead preparation of proposals and tenders.
• Act as project manager for climate resilience and water services projects in Business Line Water South Africa.
