Maintenance Planner Full Time

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Planner to manage maintenance operations in their heavy engineering facility in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning preventative maintenance activities, coordinating plant shutdowns and managing maintenance schedules

Key Responsibilities
Develop preventative and predictive maintenance schedules for critical plant equipment
Coordinate maintenance shutdowns, inspections, and repair activities
Maintain asset history and maintenance documentation using a CMMS
Ensure the availability of spare parts, tools, contractors, and maintenance resources
Analyse maintenance data to improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance
Support reliability-centred maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to optimise plant performance
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and engineering standards

Minimum Requirements
Matric
Trade Test or advantageous
5 – 7 Years maintenance planner experience in the heavy engineering or heavy manufacturing industry
Knowledge of CMMS systems, maintenance planning, and asset management
Analytical, organisational, and planning skills
Communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
Experience with shutdown planning and reliability improvement programmes advantageous
