Full Stack Java Developer Full Time

Our client is looking for a talented Full Stack Java Developer to join their growing development team. This opportunity is suited to a hands-on professional who enjoys building scalable applications, solving complex technical challenges, and contributing to software that supports critical business operations.
Responsibilities
• Develop scalable backend solutions using Java and Spring technologies.
• Build intuitive Angular frontend applications.
• Design, maintain, and optimise MySQL databases.
• Develop secure RESTful services and integrations.
• Participate in GitLab-based development, code reviews, and CI/CD activities.
• Investigate and resolve production issues while improving application stability and performance.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to deliver practical technical solutions.
• Produce technical documentation and contribute to automated testing initiatives.
• Support Agile delivery through sprint planning and estimation.

Requirements
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar.
• Minimum of 5 years’ commercial software development experience.
• Strong Java, Spring Boot, and Angular expertise.
• Experience with TypeScript, RxJS, and REST APIs.
• Excellent SQL and MySQL knowledge.
• Experience supporting production systems.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of secure software development practices.

Desirable Experience
• Spring Data, Spring Cloud, or Spring Batch.
• Docker, Linux, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Microservices and messaging technologies.
• JUnit, Mockito, Cypress, or Karma.
• Financial Services, Insurance, or similar industry exposure.
