Fire Engineer Full Time

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Fire Engineer to join our client’s growing engineering team. You will play a key role in delivering compliant and effective fire engineering solutions for a variety of commercial and multidisciplinary developments, while working alongside experienced professionals on complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
• Produce fire engineering designs and fire compliance solutions for building services projects.
• Design and coordinate fire sprinkler systems, firefighting installations, smoke extraction systems, and stair pressurisation systems.
• Manage projects according to experience level while maintaining quality and programme objectives.
• Participate in client consultations, site meetings, and engineering surveys.
• Prepare tender documentation and support project management activities.
• Maintain compliance with SANS standards and industry best practices.

Requirements
• BTech or BEng in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Fire Engineering within the building services industry.
• Demonstrated knowledge of South African fire safety standards and fire protection system design.
• Thermal modelling experience will be considered an advantage.
• Strong written communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• ECSA registration or eligibility and willingness to obtain professional registration.
