Location: Cape Town (Hybrid)
Salary: R60K – R70K p.m.
Job Type: Fixed Term Contract

Our client is seeking an experienced Data Engineer with a strong focus on building dependable, scalable data solutions. This is an opportunity to work across data pipelines, cloud platforms, big data technologies, and automation.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes using Python and SQL.
• Work with cloud-based infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Support big data environments and Linux-based systems.
• Apply DevOps and automation principles to data engineering solutions.
• Design reliable and efficient solutions using a systems-thinking approach.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant data or platform engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Added Advantage: Experience with Docker/Kubernetes, MLOps, CI/CD, real-time data processing, or healthcare, research, and public sector environments.
